Jenna Agate

Jenna Agate, Dance Artist and Choreographer, is Artistic Director of The Studio On The Green, which she co-founded with Trevor Timms in 1989. Jenna trained at Dartington College of Arts in the early 1980's in Post-Modern Dance and Theatre, gaining a B.A.(hons) degree. She studied Release Technique with Mary Fulkerson and Improvisation with Steve Paxton, Julyen Hamilton and Katie Duck.

Jenna has taught and choreographed since 1985, working with a wide variety of community and professional groups and companies, as well as regular ongoing teaching and project work at The Studio On The Green. She was Director of the 'Go For It' Dance Company for disabled dancers from 1991-2002.

 

Most recently she has choreographed the dance works 'Inside Outside' and 'Intimus Immensitas' for two women. In 2004 Jenna gained her M.A. in Choreography from the University of Leeds and Fontys Dansacademie in Holland. Jenna is available as a freelance teacher of Release Technique and Improvisation, and for choreographic commissions.
