Studio On The Green. Preference will be given to projects which would

"The
original idea as I remember was to offer a residency that gave an opportunity
to get away from the city/town and 'normal' busy lives and to have a chance
to immerse oneself in this glorious rural setting of the Borders. There
is a peacefulness here that encourages contemplation; walks in the countryside
and by the river; time to listen and feel and be; and to allow the creative
process to unfold, without pressure of 'outside' concerns. It really is
a place where one can fully absorb oneself in the work: staying and eating
together, walking daily to the studio, being supported here, quiet with
few distractions." Jenna Agate Testimonials: '...the single studio space has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Jenna Agate was available as a sensitive and valuable 'outside eye' and also host to our work during our 5 days there. As an easily accessible studio space in which to create work, uninterrupted, this place was ideal. The rural location created a calming effect on us all...' Ian Spink on his Dream Time residency 2012 'Both the serene natural environment and the encouragement of our mentor Jenna Agate to use the time and the space for inquisitive exploration meant that the week's activity held a spacious atmosphere. The end of week sharing provided a soft focus for the project's precise planning and unfolding of choreographic outcomes.'
